Quality Evaluation Reviewer - Content Moderation - Spanish Speaker

About the role

As Operations Customer Expert on the Quality Evaluation Reviewer (QER) team, you will independently audit and validate moderation decisions for the Spanish market across high-risk policy areas, including specialised reviews such as viral content and dangerous organisations. You will use your knowledge of the market's political, social and cultural context to ensure policy accuracy and turn audit findings into improvements. ⚠️ This role involves exposure to sensitive content (violence, hate speech, self-harm, child safety); resilience and emotional maturity are essential.

Key responsibilities

• Audit sampled, completed cases across core and sensitive policy areas to validate decisions, labels and escalation paths
• Classify errors and analyse root causes: knowledge gaps, guideline ambiguities and execution issues
• Deliver clear, objective written and verbal feedback to reviewers and join calibration sessions
• Apply Spanish-market linguistic, political and cultural nuances to complex escalations
• Stay up to date with policy updates and support their adoption
• Uphold confidentiality and escalate high-risk items through the right channels

Candidate profile

• Fluent in Spanish (C1/native) with deep knowledge of Spain's cultural and political context
• Good level of English (B2+)
• Experience in content moderation, quality review or trust & safety (strong advantage)
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• Clear, constructive communication for feedback
• Resilience and emotional maturity with sensitive content
• Full flexibility for rotating shifts
• Valid Work Permit in Portugal or EU Citizen (mandatory)

Contract conditions

Location

Modern office in Entrecampos, Lisbon (on-site)

Contract

12 months renewable automatically

Schedule

5 days a week, Monday to Sunday with 2 rotating days off; currently 09:00–18:00, full flexibility required (evenings, weekends, possible 24/7)

Training

6 weeks (8h/day) — compensated upon successful completion

Holidays

Up to 20 days in year 1 (pro rata), then 22 days per year; Portuguese public holidays apply
